The Palate Patrol found their way to Famous Dave’s this week. We were all surprised at the wall to wall lunch crowd. Afterwards, we could see why – value, service & quality. One thing that has to be talked about is their all new side – Macaroni & Cheese! You just have to try it. Here’s what the Patrol had to say…

Cindi R.: Famous Dave’s: The pièce de résistance of all meat lovers. I chose the 2-meat combo w/spareribs & tips. My side was the all new mac & cheese which was AWESOME, complete with jalapenos for an extra kick. They say 80% of their diners leave with to-go boxes, so I guess that puts me in the majority.

Mark J.: I ordered from the lunch menu - St. Louis Style Spareribs & Georgia Chopped Pork.  As my side, I decided to try the new Macaroni & Cheese. The meals come w/Corn Bread Muffin & Corn on the Cob which makes for a huge portion of food! I wanted to put the Famous Dave’s pig head on for my picture, but I just settled for ringing the bell on the way out the door!

Dee J.: Bar none (even Mom’s homemade) Famous Dave’s has the best ham platter anywhere! We didn’t have it today, but they have an appetizer that is flatbread & salmon spread that is out of this world. Their staff is very well trained & our service was excellent. Thanks to everyone at Famous Dave’s – we had a great time!

John R.: When I think of Famous Dave’s, I think taste & consistency! You can always count on excellent food no matter what & today was no exception. I had the Ultimate BBQ Burger w/Georgia Chopped Pork & Jalapeño Bacon slathered w/Beam & Cola BBQ Sauce. It had a sweet kick to it. It’s the best swine dining in town!

Mary S.: I had the Georgia chopped pork sandwich w/new garlic red-skin mashed potatoes. The corn muffin was warm - everything was Yummy! The service was great; even though every table in the place was full. Great food, great atmosphere & great service.

We had a new member this week, but Scott will be back on duty next week when we venture out to tell our readers about yet another great restaurant. A couple of things you may not know about Famous Dave’s is that they have bulk options as well as catering. Their claim is to have the best ribeye in town as well as best quality carry out.
